A little bit of study break humor...
April 5, 2011 - A pair of citruses, known as the,
"cutie couple," prominent promoters of a
made the ultimate sacrifice today from complications of
being eaten. They were 3 days old. Soft-spoken and brightly colored, the cutie
couple never looked the part of a hopeless romantic. But, in the final days of
their lives, they revealed an unknown side of serendipity when they were gifted
to one of not-quite-so-hidden quasi-Jungian persona; a persona that surfaces
during his Encyclopedia Brown-like pursuit of his long reputed soul mate.
Sadly, the protracted search is forced to continue without the cutie couple.
Yet even in certain consumption, the courageous cutie couple gladly, secretly
clung to the belief that life is not merely a series of meaningless accidents
or coincidences. Uh-uh. But rather, it's a tapestry of events that culminate in
an exquisite, sublime plan. Asked about the loss of her dear friends, Alice
Wagner, the celebrated educator and Stanford-alum, described the cutie couple
as changed citruses in the last days of their life. "Things were clearer
for them," Wagner noted. Ultimately the cutie couple concluded that if we
are to live life in harmony with the universe, we must all possess a powerful
faith in what the ancients used to call "fatum," what we currently refer
to as destiny.
Thanks for the cuties, Alice! They were quite yummy.
Quack!!!
